Medicine Cat Apprentice

Two medicine cats approach the Moonpool. The moon is the highest tonight, it's light spilling over the starry pool like a patch of white fur. The stars glitter, as if they know Kestrelpaw is becoming a full medicine cat tonight. Echoleaf turned to Kestrelpaw to preform the ceremony that had been done generations before them. 

"Do you, Kestrelpaw, promise to heal and help the injured, sick and weak cats of ShadeClan, even if it means losing your life?" Echoleaf asked her apprentice. 

Kestrelpaw stared in complete shock, before answering with a shaking voice. "I-I do."

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your medicine cat name. Kestrelpaw, from this moment forward, you will be known as Kestrelsong." Echoleaf mewed proudly. 

The light brown tabby blinked gratefully to the tortoiseshell. "I thank you, Echoleaf. You are a great teacher," Kestrelsong meowed proudly. 

"Kestrelsong! Kestrelsong!" The medicine cats cheered before sharing tongues with StarClan.
